Combined Materials "Stone x Ceramic"

01-12 June or 01-19 June 2026

The Stone x Ceramic 2026 interdisciplinary Course is taking place in collaboration with our Potterytent Studio

Stone ceramics skulpture workshop
Stone Ceramic combined materials by Jade Cassidy

Course description

Stone X Ceramic is an intensive workshop exploring how stone and ceramics can be combined to create unique sculptures that challenge the boundaries between both mediums. Over the course of two or three weeks, you will move from sketching and clay modelling into carving and shaping, and finally to merging both elements into a single piece or placing them in a sculptural dialogue. Guided by sculptors Raphael Beil (stone) and Jappe Mo Reintjes (ceramics), you will develop your own visual language through daily studio practice, group discussions, and individual guidance – moving from open experimentation toward more resolved sculptural ideas.

The course fosters a fluid exchange of ideas and materials, encouraging you to experiment with form, texture, and surface through both subtractive and additive processes.

This year, we’re offering both a 2-week and 3-week workshop. The 2-week option is more intensive, allowing you to create a stone and ceramic sculpture on a smaller scale. The new 3-week workshop gives you extra time to refine your designs, experiment with materials, and work with a larger stone and more clay.

The workshop runs Monday to Friday.

Level: suitable for both beginners and more advanced students; no prior stone or ceramics experience is required.

Workshop price:

2 weeks €1250,-

3 weeks €1750,-
