Combined Materials "Stone x Ceramic"
14.07. - 26.07.2025
Stone x Ceramic 2025 interdeciplinary Course is taking place in collaboration with our Potterytent Studio

Course description
This new workshop concept invites you to explore the possibilities of combining stone and ceramics to create unique sculptural works that challenge the boundaries between permanence and fragility. Over the course of two weeks, participants will work in close dialogue between the stone carving studio and the ceramics workshop, guided by Raphael Beil (stone) and Jappe Mo Reintjes (ceramics). The course fosters a fluid exchange of ideas and materials, encouraging you to experiment with form, texture, and surface through both subtractive and additive processes. The focus lies on the development of your own artistic language while learning techniques specific to each material. From sketch to final piece, you will be supported in the step-by-step realization of your vision, whether the materials are fused into a single sculpture or placed in dialogue with one another.
